Pedal Scotland in aid of Dumfries and Galloway Sands

JS23000519Kind hearted Stan Dacre and Sylvie Little approached us a few weeks ago to say that they were both, along with some friends, going to be cycling from Glasgow to Edinburgh in aid of Dumfries and Galloway Sands with Pedal Scotland. The event takes place on Sunday 8th September 2013 with riders setting off from Glasgow Green and finishing at Murrayfield.

During our meeting with Stan and Sylvie, Alison, Valerie and Susan were persuaded to join them on the 47 mile cycle! We have also now managed to persuade some friends and family to join us so have now registered as a D&G Sands team. Let the training begin!

If you would like to find out more about the event, and perhaps even join us on the day, please have a look at the Pedal Scotland website. We are obviously looking to raise as much money as we can for our charity – click here to donate and view our Just Giving page

Next Support Meeting

The next support group meeting is planned for

  • 7th November: 7.30pm

and we welcome anyone touched by the death of a baby to join us.

The meeting will be held at our office at 107 Irish Street Dumfries.

Many people feel that only others who have experienced the death of a baby can offer real understanding of the pain and heartbreak that they are feeling and the support group meetings allow you to connect with other bereaved parents, grandparents and others who share your pain and loss.

The support group is an informal setting and is only attended by people who themselves have lost a baby or their families. You will not be pressured to speak and sometimes it’s nice just to simply come along and listen.

If anyone would like more information about these meetings or would like to express an interest in attending then please email [email protected]
